Mount Fuji is known as the highest mountain in Japan. The highest point on Mt. Fuji is “Kengamine”, which is about 3,776m high.
The safe period for climbing Mt. Fuji is two months from early July to mid-September. So, about 300,000 people will climb Mt.Fuji in the next two months. Mt.Fuji did not have its current shape from the beginning, but was formed by repeated eruptions over a long period of time. Two generations of eruptive activity, the Old Fuji Volcano and the New Fuji Volcano, have formed the current cone shape. The last recorded eruption of Mt. Fuji is the Great Hoei Eruption, which took place in 1707, about 300 years ago. There are many traces of volcanic eruptions at the foot of Mt. Fuji.
Mount Fuji, which boasts the highest height in Japan, is home to many animals and plants despite its harsh natural environment. 42 species of mammals have been confirmed so far, including Japanese serows, foxes, and bats. Almost all types of wild birds distributed in the Chubu region have been confirmed at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Also, you can see different types of plants depending on the height, so it might be interesting to climb with such a viewpoint! There are many other CREATURES living in the harsh environment of the alpine and sub-alpine belts of Mt. Fuji. Please do not attack them!

皆さんは、日本の世界遺産について何か知っていることはありますか？

富士山は、日本で一番高い山として知られています。
富士山で一番高い場所は、剣ヶ峰ということころで、高さは約3,776mです。
富士山に安全に登ることができる期間は、７月の上旬～９月の中旬までの２か月間です。なので、この２か月間に約30万人が富士山に登ります。富士山は、はじめから今の形をしていたのではなく、大昔から何度も繰り返された噴火によって今の形になったもので、小御岳火山の麓に約10万年前に誕生し、古富士火山、新富士火山の2世代にわたる噴火活動によって現在のような円錐型を形づくってきました。富士山の最後の噴火の記録は、今から約300年前の宝永4年（1707）におきた、宝永大噴火です。富士山麓には火山の噴火の跡がたくさんみられます。
日本一の高さを誇る富士山は、厳しい自然環境にも関わらず、数多くの動植物が生息しています。ニホンカモシカやキツネ、コウモリなど今まで42種もの哺乳類が確認されております。野鳥は、中部地方に分布するほぼ全ての種類が富士山麓で確認されています。また、植物は高さによって違う種類を見ることができるので、そういった視点を持って登るのも面白いかもしれません！他にもたくさんのいきものたちが、富士山の高山・亜高山帯の過酷な環境の中で、頑張って生きていますので、攻撃したりしないであげてくださいね！
