【 Itsukushima Shrine in Japan⛩ 】
Do you know anything about Japan’s world heritage sites?
I would like to introduce “Itsukushima Shrine”, which is famous World Heritage Sites in Japan.
Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima in Hiroshima prefecture is one of the famous shrines in Japan, known worldwide for “floating” Torii Gate. This is the only scene in Japan that can only be seen there. Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima Prefecture is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the three daughters of the deity of seas and storms on the sacred Miyajima Island in the Seto Inland Sea, where gods are believed to reside. The vermilion-painted buildings connected by the corridors and its symbolic great Torii Gate appear as if floating on the sea at high tides. Standing in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings, this elegant palace-style architecture was registered on the list of the UNESCO World Heritage in 1996.
○How to Get There
Miyajima can be reached by train and ferry from Hiroshima City. From Hiroshima Station, take the JR Sanyo Line to Miyajimaguchi Station (about 30 minutes). From Miyajimaguchi Passenger Terminal, take an approximately 10-minute ferry ride to Miyajima, and walk approximately 10 minutes to the shrine.
The ferry to ride costs ¥180 for one way.
After you go and pray at a shrine, you can enjoy foods there. Depending on the seasons, you can have raw oyster or grilled oyster, and it is actually so good! Deep-fried Momiji Manju also famous to have there. There are so many foreign visiter, so Japanese people who works there tend to speak English!

【 世界遺産 厳島神社 ⛩】
皆さんは、日本の世界遺産について何か知っていることはありますか？
世界遺産の中でも有名な「厳島神社」について紹介したいと思います。
広島県宮島にある厳島神社は、「浮かぶ鳥居」で世界的に知られている日本で有名な神社の1つです。日本で唯一、その場所でしか見ることができない光景です。
広島県の厳島神社は海と嵐の神の3人の娘を祀る神社で、瀬戸内海の神が宿ると言われる瀬戸内海の神聖な宮島にあります。廻廊で結ばれた朱色の社殿と象徴である大鳥居は、満潮時にはあたかも海に浮かんでいるようにみえます。周囲の自然と見事に調和したこの優雅な寝殿造りの建物は、1996年にユネスコ世界遺産のリストに登録されました。
○アクセス方法
宮島へは、広島市内より電車とフェリーで行くことができます。広島駅からJR山陽本線で宮島口駅に行きます（所要時間約30分）。宮島口旅客ターミナルからフェリーに10分程乗って宮島へ渡り、さらに10分歩くと神社に着きます。
片道180円でフェリーに乗ることができます。
お参りを終えた後は、食べ物も楽しめる場所です♪
時期にもよりますが、生牡蠣や焼き牡蠣を楽しめて、しかもこれが新鮮で美味しい！また、揚げもみじ饅頭も有名です。外国人観光客の方が多く訪れることもあり、英語を話せる店員さんも多数いますので、安心して旅行を楽しめますよ！
