Oyako-don is a rice bowl that has a lot of enthusiastic foreign fans. I don’t need anything else! It was so much that some people said. Certainly, oyakodon is one of the most popular donburi, with some famous shops lining up for it.
The ingredients are very simple, but the combination of the flavorful soup, rice, and egg seems to be very popular with foreigners. What surprised me the most was that there were so many oyakodon fans that they would definitely order it if it was available. It was a bowl that fascinated people regardless of nationality.

やはり生魚が苦手な外国人は多くいました。寿司は自分の好きな刺身を選んで食べられるから好きだけど、海鮮丼は自分の好きな刺身を選べないから嫌だという声も。また、イカやエビなどの甲殻類も不人気。ワールドワイドになってきたかと思いきや、まだまだ苦手な人も多いようです。一方で自国では苦手だったけど、日本には新鮮な魚が多くて好きになったという声もあるので、ぜひ海鮮丼の美味しさをより世界に広めたいですね。
