Studio Ghibli director Hayao Miyazaki’s first feature film in 10 years, “The Boy and the Heron?” was released last month. The box office information was announced on August 21, and in 38 days from the release, the number of spectators mobilized 4,645,000 people and the box office revenue exceeded 6,983 million yen.

This work, which attracted attention with its unusual publicity, which does not announce the plot of the story, nor any trailer or cast information, recorded 1.35 million spectators and box office revenue of 2.14 billion yen in the four days of its release.
