米アップルのスマートフォン「ｉＰｈｏｎｅ（アイフォーン）」の新型「１５」シリーズが発売された２２日、東京都中央区の「アップル銀座」では通常より２時間繰り上げた開店時刻の午前８時前から約２０人の客が行列を作った。
午前８時が迫ると、スタッフが「１、２‥‥１５！」とカウント。来店客をハイタッチで出迎えた。
始発電車に乗って店に訪れ、これまでのｉＰｈｏｎｅで最も長い焦点距離１２０ミリの５倍光学ズームが使用できる「１５プロマックス」を購入した男性エンジニア（４９）は「子供の運動会でも上手に撮れそう」と声を弾ませた。
通常モデルを買った女性会社員（２７）は、充電用端子が従来の「Ｌｉｇｈｔｎｉｎｇ（ライトニング）」から「USB type C（ＵＳＢ－Ｃ）」に変更された点を高く評価。
「１つのケーブルでｉＰｈｏｎｅとパソコンの両方を充電できる」と喜ぶ一方、「もっと大勢の人が集まっていると思っていた」と拍子抜けした様子だった。
とはいえ、ｉＰｈｏｎｅを支持する声は根強く、午前５時過ぎから並び、「１５プロ」を購入した男性会社員（４７）は「使用感が一貫している。どの時代でもアップルはアップル」と満足げに語った。
